About

I make photographs of the natural world and people around me. I enjoy capturing moments in time, taking time to really see my subjects and find interest in both the everyday and the extraordinary. My goal is to enjoy the beauty around me, and to share that beauty with others.

Growing up and living in rural Southern Illinois, I have been surrounded by beauty for my entire life. Sharing my work is sharing a piece of myself and my history.

I graduated in 2006 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in photography, and worked as a photo assistant, a portrait photographer, and a wedding photographer for several years before working as a middle school math teacher and becoming a mom of four. After stepping away for several years, I think it is time to come back into the world of photography beyond my own personal work.
